It is all about guiding, advising and directing people to create feasible solutions for their problems by strengthening their decision-making power. Counseling is a practical means to impart information about HIV/AIDS to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA). This knowledge will promote behavioral changes and the adoption of long-term, low-risk behaviors by following necessary measures.

Preventive case management has been developed for Vulnerable individuals. Pre- and post-test counseling is also provided by trained counselors, who teach HIV positive people how to live healthy lives despite their HIV status. Counselors also provide condom promotion, education about sexually-transmitted and opportunistic diseases, and safe sex counseling. Parishram Parimal Trust at Ushma Drop-In Counseling Centre helps HIV positive people by offering psycho-social support through counseling in a warm and welcoming environment. At the Centre, they receive education about precautions necessary for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. To avoid exposing others to the virus, it is essential to take measures to avert transmission after being diagnosed with HIV.

Ushma Drop-In Counseling Centre undertakes various activities associated with the counseling services, which include 'individual', 'group', 'parents' and 'family' counseling. Ushma Drop-In Counseling Centre undertakes various activities associated with the counseling services. Our counselor has referred HIV positive people to Public Hospital for antiretroviral treatment. In addition, our clients are referred to partner organizations for various health services.. We have also identified situations in which additional counseling or psychosocial support services might be necessary.
